The senior-most psychologist, Anupama Kapur has been working in the organization for more than 15 years. She did her M.A., in Clinical Psychology from University of Mumbai and had her specialized training in Neuropsychology Testing from the prestigious organization, NIMHANS, Bangalore. She focuses on psychological assessment. She conducts ADHD, Learning Disability, IQ, achievement, Personality assessments as well as other tests for diagnostic purposes. She assesses patients with mild memory loss, organic disturbances, personality problems, children with learning disability, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder etc. She has presented various lectures and organized workshops along with Dr. Ashit Sheth.
With over one and a half decades of clinical experience, Alina has gained expertise in diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation of children and adults with various psychological disturbances like depression, schizophrenia and personality disorders. At Unlimited Potentialities Clinic, she is also in charge of drug and alcohol rehabilitation for patients requiring hospital admission. Her proficiency in handling family dynamics has lead to her successfully counselling families settled in India and abroad. She has handled group therapy sessions for continued abstinence by substance abuse patients. Alina is an alumna of Women’s Christian Collage, Chennai and has completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology from SNDT University, Mumbai in the year 2000. She participated in International Symposium on Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder at NIMHANS, Banglore and Workshop on Community Participation in Health Care Management by Consulate General of Israel. She has also done a course in Management of Patients Requiring Palliative Care at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. She has undertaken course on Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) from the EMDR Institute headed by Francine Shapiro and used it for patients suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) post 26/11. Prior to joining the clinic in 2004, she had vast experience in the field across the country. She had worked in Family Clinics with the Indian Navy as a counsellor, PNVM Hospital, Cochin as a consultant psychologist, and Tortures Prevention Centre by International Rehabilitation Council for victims of Torture (IRCT) (a United Nations project) as a Head of Department. She is invited as a guest lecturer for Post Graduate Students at SNDT, University. As a DG Shipping Certified trainer she is invited as a speaker at Board of Examiners, DG Shipping and Naval Maritime Academy for lectures on communication, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Multi cultural/multi linguistic interpersonal relations in sea farers. She is regularly called for her opinion as a
psychologist by leading newspapers in the country.
BANSARI TEJOOKAYA, M.A in CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY with Honors, has been working in our organization for the past 15 years. She specialises in handling disturbances among children, managing adolescent teens and family and marital issues. She is effective in use of Behaviour Therapy techniques and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Depression and other psychological disturbances. She has worked extensively with children with issues such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and time management difficulties and effectively rehabilitated them through counselling and by involving the parents using supportive therapy and guidance. After completing her Masters, and before joining the clinic, she worked as a Post Graduate Student Supervisor at Sir J.J. Hospital, Mumbai for one year, guiding PG students for their clinical practicum. She has done extensive certificate course on Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) from the EMDR Institute headed by Francine Shapiro(New York) . She had successfully used EMDR to relieve Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) on victims of the Kutch and Gujarat Earthquake (2001) and also on victims of 26/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai (2008). She has presented research a paper on ‘Mental Retardation- In my child due to my Karma?’ at the Annual Bombay Psychological Association meeting. She has prepared a paper on ‘Street Vendors and their Mental Wellbeing’ which was presented at the Annual Bombay Psychological Association Meeting and also at a Round table Conference organized by ‘International Labour Organization’ in India. She has conducted workshops with wide audience on essential subjects such as Managing Stress, Why we love, Tips for happiness, and Healthy Study Habits at Indian Merchant Association, Mumbai Plumbing Association and other esteemed organizations. She is a certified Lifetime Member at the Bombay Psychological Association (BPA) and also Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists (IACP).
She has done her masters in clinical psychologist from Mumbai university.
She has done an extensive course in CBT with Shishir Palsapure who is affiliated with Elbert Elis Institute, New York, USA.
She has also done a brief course in REBT with Sinara Education. She has been working in the organization since 4 and a half years. She has done and extensive research on Mental Health Status of Runway adolescents, during which she worked with the street children at the Shelter Don Bosco, helping them deal with their emotional disturbances, substance issues and career related difficulties. She has conducted various lectures hypnosis and also gave a live demo at the Borivali Medical Brotherhood and the event ‘mind in the mirror’ organized by One for Each Other, a global community respectively. She has also given lectures on sleep hygiene, social skills, caregivers well being, puberty etc.
Nidhi Mehta is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist. Having done her Masters in Clinical Psychology from S.N.D.T University, she has also done an advanced course on counseling from Xavier’s Institute of Counseling Psychology. Additionally, she has 2 years of experience with aptitude testing.
Currently she is working at Unlimited Potentialities in the key areas of psychological assessment and psychotherapy. She uses an eclectic approach including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Behavior Therapy, Gestalt therapy, Insight oriented, Supportive therapy, Motivational Interviewing along with psychoeducation to diverse issues such as major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, stress, marital and other interpersonal issues, substance abuse and bereavement.
She has conducted workshops on peer pressure, time management skills and parenting skills to deal with adolescents.
Equiped with a double degree in English literature & Commercial Arts and 7 years experience in Media & Advertising, Aarti moved into the field of counselling, post a Masters in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy, from S.N.D.T University. She furthered her skills and did a certification in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). She is a certified Special Educator for children with different abilities, and has home tutioned children with ADHD, L.D and counselled young adults with depression, anxiety and interpersonal relationship issues. As part of her internship program she has worked in schools with adolescents with behavioural issues, substance abuse, body image issues.
Prachi Desai, the youngest psychologist on our team, graduated with a degree in psychology from St. Xavier’s College, and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from SNDT University.
Pooja Sharma is a Clinical Psychologist who has completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology from SNDT University. She has undergone courses in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – Level 1 and Level 2 under Dr. Shishir Palsapure.
Currently working as a full time Clinical Psychologist at Unlimited Potentialities, her key areas of work are psychological testing, assessment and psychotherapy.
Carrying a passion to help people, she has conducted numerous workshops on Anger Management, Time Management, Stress Management and Conflict Management. She has also written a research paper on the Impact of Parental Depression on the Psychological Well-Being and Resilience of Adolescents Living in Mumbai, as part of her masters dissertation.
She started her first internship at MindTemple, after which she embarked into the world of psychology and handling cases wherein she carried out psychological assessment and attended sessions with Dr. Anjali Chhabria.
To her credit she has also interned at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Government Hospital (Sion Hospital) as part of her masters course curriculum.
Pooja currently deals with people from all age groups and spectrums.
